Abstract: Discusses fossil record preserved in deposits along Colville River on Alaska's North Slope; also reasons for accumulations of fossils in limited geographical area. Notes that Arctic bone-beds were formed under unique conditions, and suggests that regional climate may have been driving force in preservation of fossil bone assemblages.
