Abstract: Describes plans for 2007-08 research expedition in Dronning Maud Land involving 3,000 km inland traverse between Syowa station and Wasa station, via Dome Fuji and Kohnen deep ice coring sites. Research will include snow sampling for physical, chemical and biological analyses and aerosol sampling; meteorological observations; subsurface radar sounding; microwave remote sensing; and GPS measurements.
