Abstract: Reports preliminary results from project to identify Antarctic micro-organisms using conventional morphological studies, biochemical tests and molecular characterisation based on nucleotides sequence in genes 26S rDNA, 16S rDNA and internal transcribed spacer (ITS) with aim of screening for potential industrial enzymes and fundamental metabolic enzymes.
