Examines data on population numbers for each region and data on fishing collective farms and hunting. Notes year-on-year decrease in production of fish from these collective farms due to decline in population numbers and centralisation of fisheries. Highlights poor working conditions and equipment among hunters and fishermen. Recommends modernisation of organisation and equipment and pities use of traditional clothing. Approves of involvement of Russian intelligentsia in these communities.
