Abstract: Briefly describes CEAMARC programme for coordinated and comprehensive survey of plankton, fish, benthos and oceanography of waters north of Terre Adélie and George V Land, Antarctica to provide benchmark against which effects of future change can be measured. Programme seeks to understand evolution and survival of current biota, to enable prediction of responses to future change.
