| Abstract: | Examines long-term (1966-2000) trends of monthly variations of snow accumulation in Northern Eurasia and their spatial distribution. Examines trends in snow accumulation contributions and air temperatures for individual winter months. Characterizes snow accumulation changes for various territory types (tundra, etc.), using AVHRR data and ranges of normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) as indicators of surface conditions. |
