| Abstract: | Presents current state of natural environment and landscape of north-eastern Sørkappland, and isthmus connecting this southern peninsula of Spitsbergen with remainder of island. Notes current state differs considerably from that presented in recently published topographical maps; also that changes occurring since end of Little Ice Age (in 20th and 21st centuries) are among most dramatic on Spitsbergen, and that they have been accelerating in recent years. |
