Abstract: Describes alternative education programme instituted at Inuksuk High School, Nunavut in mid-1908s for teenagers who were struggling, who had been in conflict with law, or had shown likelihood of dropping out of school. For over 20 years, programme has delivered visibly relevant, hands-on, bi-cultural curriculum addressing five educational needs: basic grade nine course, life skills, land skills, community service, and personal development.
