| Abstract: | Reports population-based cross-sectional study carried out in 2003-04 in area with mixed Saami, Kven/Finn and Norwegian population to assess distribution of blood lipids, lipoprotein and apoB/apoA-1 ratio. Finds that, in 36-64 age group, Saami men and women have highest apoB/apoA-1 ratio of ethnic groups; also that ethnic differences remain after adjustment for waist hip ratio, cigarette smoking, systolic and diastolic pressures, alcohol consumption, physical activity during leisure, and family history of myocardial infection. |
