Abstract: Discusses records by Mech (2006) of double marking by Arctic wolves (Canis lupus arctos) on Ellesmere Island during 16 summers between 1986-2005. Determines probablilities of occurrence for each of eight possible double mark sequences and compares with observed frequencies. Notes that females are more likely to initiate double mark sequence.
