Abstract: Reports collaborative research with Koyukon community of Huslia, Alaska, which challenges assumption that there exists single characterisation of time and sentience applying to all Arctic residents. Identifies cross-cultural difficulties of conducting climate change research when differing notions of time and sentience are encountered.
