Record #183271:
Geographical distribution of general aerobic heterotrophic bacteria in surficial sediments from the Chukchi Sea and Canadian Basin / Aiguo Gao, Haowen Chen.
Title: | Geographical distribution of general aerobic heterotrophic bacteria in surficial sediments from the Chukchi Sea and Canadian Basin / Aiguo Gao, Haowen Chen. |
Author(s): | Gao, Aiguo. Chen, Haowen. |
Date: | 2007. |
In: | Chinese Journal of Polar Science. (2007.), Vol. 18(2) (2007) |
Abstract: | Determines abundance of general aerobic heterotrophic bacteria in surficial sediments using most-probable-number (MPN) and discusses geographical distribution. Finds abundance to be greater at lower latitude, also increasing from east to west in terms of longitudinal distribution. |
Notes: | Chinese Journal of Polar Science. Vol. 18(2) :147-154 (2007). |
Keywords: | 546 -- Chemistry, inorganic. 574.36 -- Biomass and energetics of populations. 574.5 -- Marine and freshwater ecology. 579 -- Microbiology and bacteriology. F -- Biological sciences. (*3) -- Arctic regions. (*60) -- Arctic Ocean and adjacent waters. (*682) -- Chukchi Sea. |
