Record #183259:

Seabird life histories and climatic fluctuations: a phylogenetic-comparative time series analysis of North atlantic seabirds / Hanno Sandvik, Kjell Einar Erikstad.

Title: Seabird life histories and climatic fluctuations: a phylogenetic-comparative time series analysis of North atlantic seabirds / Hanno Sandvik, Kjell Einar Erikstad.
Author(s): Sandvik, Hanno.
Erikstad, Kjell Einar.
Date: 2008.
In: Ecography. (2008.), Vol. 31(1) (2008)
Abstract: Presents analysis of more than 100 previously published time series of seabird offspring production and adult survival rates in North Atlantic to detect climate signals in data base. Analysis is phylogenetic-comparative, searching for patterns across species. Using correlation of parameters with North Atlantic Oscillation as measure of responsiveness to climate variability, finds that effect of climate on parameters considered are not more common than expected by chance.
