Snow water content estimation from measured snow temperature / Zhijuni Li, Haiqing Zhao, Enmin Feng, Bin Cheng, Peng Lu.

Title: Snow water content estimation from measured snow temperature / Zhijuni Li, Haiqing Zhao, Enmin Feng, Bin Cheng, Peng Lu.
Author(s): Li, Zhijuni.
Zhao, Haiqing.
Feng, Enmin.
Cheng, Bin.
Lu, Peng.
Date: 2007.
In: Chinese Journal of Polar Science. (2007.), Vol. 18(1) (2007)
Abstract: Reports measurement of vertical temperature profiles of snow and sea ice in Arctic during Second Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition in 2003. Solves high-resolution temperature profile in snow by one-dimensional heat transfer equation. Identifies effective heat diffusivity and internal heat sources. Presents relationship between snow water content and snow temperature, and temporal-spatial distribution of snow water content.
