Fecundity of natural, transplanted and reared Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus) / Hans Nordeng, Jostein Skurdai, Ragnvald Andersen, Kjetil Hindar.
Title: | Fecundity of natural, transplanted and reared Arctic char (Salvelinus alpinus) / Hans Nordeng, Jostein Skurdai, Ragnvald Andersen, Kjetil Hindar. |
Author(s): | Nordeng, Hans. Skurdai, Jostein. Andersen, Ragnvald. Hindar, Kjetil. |
Date: | 1984. |
Publisher: | Drottningholm, Sweden: International Society of Arctic Char Fanatics |
In: | Proceedings of the third ISACF workshop on Arctic char, 1984. (1984.), |
Abstract: | Compares fecundity of natural, transplanted and reared Arctic char (Salvelinus Alpinus) originating from single gene pool, using data collected from 33 anadromous, 17 large resident, and 21 small resident char. Finds no significant heterogeneity in length-specific fecundity among three morphs of char examined, but notes that reared char are more fecund (as food access is better in hatchery, by comparison with natural conditions). |
Notes: | In: Proceedings of the third ISACF workshop on Arctic char, 1984 / Johan Hammar, Lennart Nyman, eds. |
