Abstract: | Presents several themes dealing with Gwich'in understanding and discussions of climate change in Fort McPherson, NWT. Argues that Gwich'in have pragmatic approach, discussing changes in terms of actual experiences and observations but notes that these are not mentioned in influential political reports (e.g. WWF Living planet report (2006)) even though oral and written information are widely available in forms of academic literature and video documentaries. |
