| Abstract: | Methodological introduction to study of gender roles and gender dimensions related to reindeer herding and combination economies within coastal Saami settlements in Troms county during first part of 18th century. Research is grounded in fieldwork with documentation of physical traces in terrain (mountains as well as areas of permanent settlement), interviews, participating work, and studies of archive material and literature. |
