Abstract: Analyses dispute between forestry and tourism over right to land areas at and near tourist resorts, with particular reference to Ylläs and Levi. Notes that, for forestry, nature is resource of rew material whereas for tourism, nature is place for recreation and experiences. Analysis employs frame of actor network theory, and data is supplied by interviews with local forest professionals on how they define their role in resolving dispute.
