Record #182463:

Plant diversity and resilience to reindeer grazing / Johan Olofsson.

Title: Plant diversity and resilience to reindeer grazing / Johan Olofsson.
Author(s): Olofsson, Johan.
Date: 2006.
In: Arctic, Antarctic, and Alpine Research. (2006.), Vol. 38(1) (2006)
Abstract: Investigates hypothesis that higher plant species richness increases resilience of plant communities to disturbance, in context of reindeer-grazed Arctic tundra vegetation. Finds negative relationship between plant species richness and change in species richness and biomass due to grazing, with diversity not conferring greater resilience to increased grazing intensity.
