Abstract: Reports results of survey conducted by WWF Canada and Trent University in which 30 participating Inuit elders and hunters from communities of Pangnirtung, Coral Harbour and Arviat discuss traditional knowledge of wildlife health based on many years of hunting experiences. Elders are concerned about possible effect of climate change on marine life. particularly polar bear and walrus that use ice a platform for hunting, and seals that depend on pack ice for pupping, foraging, moulting and resting.
