Record #181961:

Putting Antarctic sea spiders in their place / Johanna Nielsen, Anne-Nina Lörz, Shane Lavery.

Title: Putting Antarctic sea spiders in their place / Johanna Nielsen, Anne-Nina Lörz, Shane Lavery.
Author(s): Nielsen, Johanna.
Lörz, Anne-Nina.
Lavery, Shane.
Date: 2007.
In: Water & Atmosphere. (2007.), Vol. 15(4) (2007)
Abstract: Discusses evolutionary development of sea spiders, with particular reference to 18 species collected from waters of Ross Sea off northern Victoria Land and Balleny Islands in 2004. Hypothesis of trend toward reduction in number and complexity of cephalic appendages is not supported by results, as reconstructed phylogenetic trees consistently placed Austropallene cornigera at base of Nymphonidae family.
