Сообщества птиц Полярного Урала

Title: Сообщества птиц Полярного Урала
Title, transliterated: Soobshchestva ptit︠s︡ Poli︠a︡rnogo Urala / M.G. Golovatin, S.P. Paskhalʹnyĭ.
Translated title: Bird communities of the Polar Urals.
Author(s): Golovatin, M. G.
Paskhalʹnyĭ, S. P.
Date: 2004.
Language: Russian.
In: Sibirskiĭ Ėkologicheskiĭ Zhurnal. (2004.), Vol. 11(4) (2004)
Abstract: Studies structure of main types of bird populations in Polar Urals based on calculations made in four large areas located in various regions from furthest south to north. Finds greatest similarities in communities of typical mountain ecotypes: rocky placers and rocky tundra. Notes that further one is from high mountain areas and nearer to lower river reaches, greater is variation in bird communities. Structure of populations of grassy and mossy tundra is highly dependent on surface topography and directly on relief.
