| Abstract: | Describes method and reports preliminary results of research using ice cores drilled at Dolleman Island on east coast of Antarctic Peninsula to identify source of and path taken by precipitation, in order to investigate large-scale atmospheric circulation changes. Results suggest that 77% of significant precipitation events come from Bellingshausen Sea and South Pacific. |
