Abstract: | Analyses records of dog bite injuries reported to Alaska Trauma Registry (ATR) between 1991-2002, defining cases as patients with E-code 906.0 in ATR who had been hospitalized for at least one day. Finds Alaska hospitalization rates from dog bite injuries to be higher overall compared with entire US; also Alaska Native population to be disproportionately affected. |
