Record #18114:

Koordination der Grundgebirgsformationen von Labrador und Südgrönland / E.H. Kranck.

Title: Koordination der Grundgebirgsformationen von Labrador und Südgrönland / E.H. Kranck.
Translated title: Coordination of the basal rock formations of Labrador and South Greenland.
Author(s): Kranck, E. H.
Date: 1939.
Language: German.
Abstract: Both countries consist of crystalline rocks of Precambrian, bounded by Caledonian and Hercynian deformation zones. Author traversed coast of Labrador in 1937 to extend previous observations. Divisions were seen to be fossil-bearing Cambrian, red sandstone of Eocambrian, quartzite and phyllite sediments of Ramah and Mugford Series, and largely gneisified and granitised basal series. Eruptive rocks and tectonic development were also considered on both sides. Table aligns proven correlates.
