| Abstract: | Paper introduces researches, ending with three stages of magmatic activity: Caledonian plutonism, apparently of peaceful character, taking full development of orogen, and metamorphosing sediment into gneiss - in inner fjord zone, Liverpool Land etc.; Early Palaeozoic vulcanism and plutonism - in outer fjords, Ymer Island etc.; Cretaceous-Tertiary vulcanism and sub- vulcanism, violent gush forming basalt dykes and local magma along coast, fractured and bent by craton - found all over area investigated, and on coast at Wollaston Foreland, Hold with Hope, etc. |
