| Abstract: | East Greenland Devonian is formed of Old Red Sandstone: clastic sediment, carboniferous conglomerate and sandstone, clayey slate and in some places with Devonian eruptives and volcanic tuffs inserted. Deposits several thousand metres thick are coloured red or brown by feldspar of iron oxide, and some parts are greeny grey or dark grey, frequently banded. Details are given of different regions of Devonian and of diagnostic fossils, and aspects of orogen are discussed. |
