Record #181007:

Geophysical perturbations as the main cause of northern human stress / V.I. Hasnulin.

Title: Geophysical perturbations as the main cause of northern human stress / V.I. Hasnulin.
Author(s): Hasnulin, V. I.
Date: 2006.
In: Alaska Medicine. (2006.), Supplement (2006)
Abstract: Argues that frequent geomagnetic perturbations and meteorological, photoperiodic and gravitational changes in high latitudes are main cause for human chronic stress in North. Free-radical damage of cell membranes (oxidative stress), disturbance of functions of ferments and changes in metabolism; decrease in functional, detoxical, secretory and other liver functions, tension of endocrine adaptive functions, decrease in immune protection, and psychoemotional strain are main elements of geophysically conditioned northern stress.
Notes:

Alaska Medicine. Supplement :237-244 (2006).

Keywords: 550.38 -- Geomagnetism.
551.58 -- Climatology.
613/614 -- Health and preventive medicine.
I -- Medicine and health.
(*3) -- Arctic regions.
(*501) -- Russia (Federation).
