Abstract: Estimates national-ethnic features of development of young schoolchildren, from study of 1,928 children aged 8-11 of Russian and Tuvinian ethnicity permanently living in urban and rural areas of Tyva Republic (Tuva). Finds that Tuvinian schoolboys have lower parameters of physical and mental development but higher level of functional cardiovascular and respiratory systems in comparison with Russian children.
