| Abstract: | Presents data from 257 bottom trawl hauls distributed in uniform grid pattern over south-western Barents Sea in summer 2000. Uses data to map distribution of demersal fish species, and to analyse distribution in relation to temperature, depth and salinity. Records 48 species. Fauna characterised by Gadidae and Scorpaenidae is found in warmer part of sea, while cold-water fauna of Cottidae, Zoarcidae and Stichaeidae is evident from Polar Front zone and northwards. |
