Abstract: Presents comparison of archaeobotanical samples from archaeological sites in Greenland and Iceland to determine importance of plant resources to Norse animal husbandry. Results suggest heathland shrubs were important fodder resource for caprines in both Iceland and Greenland while apophytes were part of cattle fodder in Greenland.
