Record #180713:

Preliminary assessment of population structure in the mackerel icefish (Champsocephalus gunnari) / Kristen L. Kuhn, Patrick M. Gaffney.

Title: Preliminary assessment of population structure in the mackerel icefish (Champsocephalus gunnari) / Kristen L. Kuhn, Patrick M. Gaffney.
Author(s): Kuhn, Kristen L.
Gaffney, Patrick M.
Date: 2006.
In: Polar Biology. (2006.), Vol. 29(11) (2006)
Abstract: Uses DNA sequence variation in four mitochondrial regions and four nuclear genes in icefish from four locations in Atlantic and one in Indian Ocean sector of Southern Ocean to evaluate global population structure of species. Results indicate existence of at least three genetically distinct stocks: Heard Island, South Shetland Islands, and remaining Atlantic populations.
