Record #180684:

Distribution and reproduction strategies of krill (Euphausiacea) on the Norwegian shelf / Padmini Dalpadado.

Title: Distribution and reproduction strategies of krill (Euphausiacea) on the Norwegian shelf / Padmini Dalpadado.
Author(s): Dalpadado, Padmini.
Date: 2006.
In: Polar Biology. (2006.), Vol. 29 (2006)
Abstract: Reports that Meganyctiphanes norvegica and Thysanoessa inermis are observed to be dominant krill species on Norwegian shelf; also that main distribution of krill indicates restriction to Atlantic waters of shelf region in April and that little krill is observed south of 62°N. Considers strategies of two dominant species for timing of spawning, avoiding direct overlap of spawning products.
