Abstract: Analyses observational data obtained from autonomous buoy station at depths 7, 35 and 75 m together with data from oceanographic surveys along zonal cross section. Records inflow of relatively warm and desalinated water from East Sakhalin Current which caused temperature jump of more than 10°C in early October 2000 and also significant changes in distribution of oceanographic parameters. Observes quasi-cyclic fluctuation of approx. 12-day period at 35 m level due to influence of anticyclonic vortex. Finds that, in bottom layer, prevailing flux is oriented northwards to Aniva Bay. Reports that in early November, vortex was driven away from station and flow was barotropized. During this time chlorophyll-a concentration sharply increased in surface layer.
