Record #180549:

Тепловой поток Баренцевоморского-Карского региона

Title: Тепловой поток Баренцевоморского-Карского региона
Title, transliterated: Teplovoĭ potok Barent︠s︡evomorskogo-Karskogo regiona / L.A. T︠S︡ybulʹi︠a︡, L.S. Sokolova.
Translated title: Heat flow in the region of the Barents and Kara seas.
Author(s): T︠S︡ybulʹi︠a︡, L. A.
Sokolova, L. S.
Date: 2002.
Language: Russian.
In: Geologii︠a︡ i Geofizika. (2002.), Vol. 43(11) (2002)
Abstract: Compiles and discusses map of heat flow that is synthesis of geothermal data from West Arctic shelf collected since 1980s. Strongly uneven heat flow distribution reflects complex geological and geodynamic settings of region. Heat flows are noticeably lower on continent than in ocean. Generally elevated mantle heat flow on Barents and Kara sea shelves is evidence of hot anomalous mantle apparently associated with recent ocean formation.
