| Abstract: | Recognises statistically three petrochemical groups of basic rocks among intrusive traps of Siberian Platform and Taymyr Peninsula: normal tholeiitic (predominant); Ti- and Fe-enriched, with increased contents of alkalies; low-Ti picritoid (of Noril'sk type) which are less abundant. Finds distinct regional zoning in distribution of compositions of intrusive traps. In southern and south-western Siberian Platform Noril'sk type massifs are rare to absent. Notes striking differences in occurrence of ferrobasites. |
