| Abstract: | Describes and maps 30 assemblages in Arctic water basins on basis of benthic foraminiferal analysis of predominant species at 318 stations. Finds that assemblages with predominantly agglutinating species develop on shelf at water temperatures below 0.5°C and that in areas of higher temperatures assemblages of calcareous foraminifera develop. Determines biogeography of foraminiferal assemblages according to climatic zonation of oceans. |
