Численная модель ветровых, термохалинных и приливных течений Охотского моря

Title: Численная модель ветровых, термохалинных и приливных течений Охотского моря
Title, transliterated: Chislennai︠a︡ modelʹ vetrovykh, termokhalinnykh i prilivnykh techeniĭ Okhotskogo mori︠a︡ / V.B. Zalesnyĭ, S.Ė. Kontorovskiĭ.
Translated title: A numerical model of the wind, thermohaline and tidal currents of the Sea of Okhotsk.
Author(s): Zalesnyĭ, V. B.
Kontorovskiĭ, S. Ė.
Date: 2002.
Language: Russian.
In: Okeanologii︠a︡. (2002.), Vol. 42(5) (2002)
Abstract: Presents nonlinear model of marine currents in spherical-coordinate system. Model describes wide spectrum of motions including wind currents, tidal waves and thermohaline circulation. Develops numerical algorithm on basis of economical splitting methods and balanced grid approximations. Model is devised for basin of Sea of Okhotsk with grid resolution over longitude and latitude. Numerical experiments indicate that model realistically reproduces structure of hydrographic fields in Sea of Okhotsk.
