Title: Desynchronization of circadian rhythms in winterover Antarctic expeditioners / Nalin Mehta, Naidu, Ms, U. Sachdeva.
Author(s): Mehta, Nalin.
Naidu.
Sachdeva, U.
Date: 1996.
Publisher: New Delhi: Department of Ocean Development
In: Scientific report : twelfth Indian expedition to Antarctica. (1996.),
Abstract: Study of male subjects overwintering at Maitri station, Antarctica, showed that although oral temperature and heart rate rhythms had adjusted by end of winter period, blood pressure and hand grip strength failed to return to normal rhythmic state even during summer period which followed. Psychoemotional status correlated with altered circadian body rhythms.
