In: Polar Biology. (2006.), Vol. 29 (2006)
Abstract: Examines whether nest desertion is linked to initial clutch size, partial clutch predation (final clutch size) and incubation stage in which it happened in female common eider (Somateria mollissima) nesting in high Arctic (Kongsfjorden, Svalbard). Observes that nest desertion is higher when initial clutch size is small; also during first third of incubation.
