Blight of moss caused by Pythium sp. in Greenland / Tamotsu Hoshino, Motoaki Tojo, Isao Yumoto.
Title: | Blight of moss caused by Pythium sp. in Greenland / Tamotsu Hoshino, Motoaki Tojo, Isao Yumoto. |
Author(s): | Hoshino, Tamotsu. Tojo, Motoaki. Yumoto, Isao. |

In: | Meddelelser om Grønland. Bioscience. (2006.), Vol. 56 (2006) |
Abstract: | Presents first report of occurrence of Pythium moss blight in Greenland. Notes that all isolates from Greenland can grow at 0°C and that mycelial growth rate of isolates from Greenland, compared with that of isolates from temperate zone, is very low (at temperatures above 10°C); also that optimal temperature of Greenlandic isolates is same as that of temperate zone isolates, suggesting that Greenlandic isolates originally developed from temperate zone isolates and adapted to growth under Arctic conditions. |
