Abstract: Reports fauna encrusting square panels immersed at 12 m depth in Isfjorden, Spitsbergen. Finds no colonists present after two and three days, but two panels are colonised by bryozoan and polychaetes after one week. After one year's immersion, three panels are 3%, 5% and 11% covered with mean of ~247 colonists.
