Abstract: Describes research project using available information to understand potential effects on Ross Sea ecosystem of recently opened Antarctic toothfish fishery, using trophic model for Ross Sea. Preliminary results indicate that determination of ecosystem effects hinges on understanding distribution and abundance of demersal fish and Antarctic silverfish in Ross Sea shelf and slope.
