| Abstract: | Examines influence of heterogeneity in surface conditions on occurrence, transformation and destruction of frozen ground. Considers permafrost dynamics under changing external conditions to be defined by series of local changes due to structural features of territory. Describes heirarchical approach including solution of number of problems; heat-mass transfer at level of elementary micro- landscapes with homogeneous surface conditions; estimation of landscape heterogeneity zonation; and complex estimation of these factors for geosystems of various scales over various time intervals. |
