| Abstract: | Investigates 440 cm-long peat core covering last c. 7000 calendar years for humifaction, loss-on-ignition, microfossils, macrofossils and tephra. Identifies general cooling trend throughout entire sequence, where cooler spells interchange with warmer periods. Notes that main cooling spells happened stepwise, but with special strength in periods around 6400, 6200, 5340, 4790 and 4220-3810 cal. yr BP. |
