Оледенения Камчатки в оптимуме голоцена

Title: Оледенения Камчатки в оптимуме голоцена
Title, transliterated: Oledenenii︠a︡ Kamchatki v optimume golot︠s︡ena / N.V. Davidovich.
Translated title: Kamchatka glaciations during the Holocene Optimum.
Author(s): Davidovich, N. V.
Date: 2006.
Language: Russian.
In: Materialy Gli︠a︡t︠s︡iologicheskikh Issledovaniĭ. (2006.), Vol. 101 (2006)
Abstract: Estimates climatic and glacial parameters for Holocene climatic optimum (6-4.5 ka BP) in three regions of Kamchatka, based on adapting palaeoclimatic scenario for plain areas to glacial zone conditions and using modern glacio-climatic relationship according to principle of actuality. Finds summer and winter air temperatures respectively 1.3-1.4°C and 1.4-1.9°C higher than today's. Total precipitation was 8% greater in high-mountainous Klyuchevskaya Volcanic Group and middle-mountainous Sredinny Ridge and 3% greater in low-mountainous Kronotsky Peninsula. Solid precipitation was respectively slightly greater, slightly less, and significantly less. Although higher than today's, ELA remained below mountain crests and within limits of contemporary glacial zone, even in Kronotsky mountains. Concludes Kamchatka's glaciation is relict of Late Pleistocene, having survived Holocene climatic optimum.
