Record #179903:

Mineral dust records from Greenland ice cores / Urs Ruth.

Title: Mineral dust records from Greenland ice cores / Urs Ruth.
Author(s): Ruth, Urs.
Date: 2006.
In: CLIVAR Exchanges : newsletter of the Climate Variability and Predictability Programme. (2006.), Vol. 11(1) (2006)
Abstract: Reports use of Greenlandic ice cores to provide continuous record of dust particle concentrations and distribution. Notes importance of mineral dust for climate research, as it directly influences radiative balance of atmosphere, and is active in indirect ways (as cloud-condensation nuclei, and as potential to control primary bioproductivity in remote ocean and land areas where nutrients are limited).
