Abstract: | Examines gender relations and presents original findings from empirical study among Kalaallit, using interviews of seven couples. Finds that interviewed women have jobs and are involved in social activities, whereas men are less involved and face social isolation. Presents three models of couplehood in Maniitsoq: traditional, detached, and reversed. |
