Multivariate characterisation of environmental conditions for reindeer husbandry in Sweden / Henrik Lundqvist, Lennart Norell, Öje Danell.

Title: Multivariate characterisation of environmental conditions for reindeer husbandry in Sweden / Henrik Lundqvist, Lennart Norell, Öje Danell.
Author(s): Lundqvist, Henrik.
Norell, Lennart.
Danell, Öje.
Date: 2007.
In: Rangifer. (2007.), Vol. 27(1) (2007)
Abstract: Identifies combinations of biotic and abiotic factors describing the spatial variation in conditions that determine productivity in reindeer herding. Derives 37 variables (representing geographical location, climate, weather episodes related to ice crust formation and insect harassment, topography, vegetation, forage and fragmentation of ranges) and maps in raster of 1958 squares of 100 km² each, covering entire reindeer herding area in Sweden.
Notes:

Rangifer. Vol. 27(1) :5-23 (2007).

Keywords: 551.58 -- Climatology.
574.22 -- Habitat conditions, optimal.
599.735.3 -- Cervidae: Rangifer tarandus.
636.294 -- Reindeer husbandry.
N -- Renewable resources.
(*3) -- Arctic regions.
(*57) -- Sweden.
