Record #179770:

DGPS levelling and monument stability at 70° North / Sheng Li, Elizabeth Cannon, Matthew Tait.

Title: DGPS levelling and monument stability at 70° North / Sheng Li, Elizabeth Cannon, Matthew Tait.
Author(s): Li, Sheng.
Cannon, Elizabeth.
Tait, Matthew.
Date: 2007.
In: Geomatica. (2007.), Vol. 61(1) (2007)
Abstract: Discusses unique challenges for differential GPS (DGPS) levelling at 70° North, such as degraded satellite geometry and increased ionospheric effects. Also notes that full error budget of DGPS method includes signal of survey monument in permafrost environment, which is subject to seasonal heave and settlement. Presents two studies that when combined indicate accuracy that can be expected using technique at this latitude.
